My work deals with complicated issues of secrecy and crypticism within relationships. I combine the use of several kinds of artistic media to produce short insights into my world; filled with obsessive tendencies and territorial claims. My photographs are often self-portraits, presented as over-lit and under-processed documentation. Within my books and prints, I showcase my obsession with markmaking; painstakingly placing each dot on the paper, as well as those people who have made a mark on me, both emotionally and physically. I am interested in manipulating the viewer to feel both intimidated and uncomfortable. These works provide me with a sense of catharsis and allow progression further into the subject.
